Turner & Townsend appoints manager for Poland

16 Oct 12 Turner & Townsend has appointed Iain Leyden as country manager for Poland.

He will be leading activities from offices in both Warsaw and Krakow. “The opportunity to steer Turner & Townsend’s activities in a country which is leading Europe in challenging times is very exciting for me,” he said. “We are a relative newcomer to the Polish market, having established offices in 2010. We are progressively expanding our client base and I look forward to continuing our success as well as establishing ourselves in growing sectors such as natural resources and infrastructure.”

Leyden has 20 years of experience in project management and has worked in the commercial property markets in the UK, Poland, Romania and other central and eastern European countries. Iain is a specialist in the mixed use, commercial office, retail and industrial sectors of the construction industry.

He trained as quantity surveyor and is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), currently serving on the RICS board in Poland where he is responsible for the built environment Group.

Before joining Turner & Townsend, he operated and was the proprietor of independent project management consultancy Caledonian Project Management. He also served as a director at both the King Sturge building consultancy department and Colliers International.
