UK contract services director Richard Chamberlain and senior consultant Craig McPheator will be transferring to the Abu Dhabi office.“With the UAE construction industry returning to health, it is an exciting time to be in the region, and Craig and I are looking forward to employing our experience on a rapidly growing number of new construction projects both here in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, but also further afield from our regional offices in Oman and Qatar," said Chamberlain.

The new Oman office is designed to enable the company to provide its Omani clients with a seamless service, from Turner & Townsend's core project management, cost management and contract services work, to specialist roles such as risk and value management and facilities management. The Omani government’s ‘Vision 2020’ development plans are also seen as presenting a further opportunity, with major works already planned across the country’s infrastructure, natural resources and property sectors.

“Oman is a fantastic country and we are delighted to open an office that will contribute to its continuing growth,” said Oman country director David Frizell. “With major projects, including a programme management office commission, as part of the development of Muscat and Salalah International Airports, already secured, we are in a unique position to expand our local team as well as having the opportunity to call on the experience and expertise of our global offices.”
