The Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects Corporation (DAEP) project to build Concourse D is being led by UAE-based Alec.
Turner & Townsend UAE manager Alan Talabani said: “This project is both a statement of intent for the UAE and a measure of its growing attractiveness as a business and tourist destination.
“The Concourse D project is a huge and complex one – at its peak 10,000 people will be working on it. Turner & Townsend will play a vital role in ensuring best practice and value for the project. The UAE construction market matured quickly after the downturn in 2008. Whereas in the boom times, developers here worried little about cost, these days robust cost management is essential.”
