Tutor Perini wins $395m in new contracts

1 Aug 11 Tutor Perini Corporation has announced new US contract wins that bring its recent total to US$395m (£240m).

Delaware Department of Transportation has awarded Tutor Perini, working with its subsidiary Cherry Hill Construction, a US$86m for improvements to the SR1/I-95 Interchange. This project consists of the construction of a new, multiple-lane interchange that is aimed at reducing traffic congestion. The construction of eight bridges will be part of the project, which is scheduled to begin in September.

Another new interchange win is a US$54m contract for Maryland Transportation Authority to build the second contract of the I-95/I-695 Interchange. The project consists of constructing new managed electronic toll lanes as well as two new bridges and advanced pier foundations for future ramps.

Wisconsin Department of Transportation has awarded Tutor Perini, working with its subsidiary Lunda Construction, the US$54m contract for the STH 21 Interchange near Oshkosh. The project includes construction of nine bridge and four retaining walls, grading and pavement. Included in this project is the construction of twin six span structures to carry USH 41 over Lake Butte des Morts. Cconstruction operations are scheduled to begin this month.
