The council is looking for between six and 10 companies to go on a list of approved contractors for repair and maintenance work for its complete housing stock.
Work is divided into two lots. The first is general building repairs and maintenance works, worth between £5.5m and £16m per year for seven years. The second lot is for mechanical & electrical repairs and maintenance works, worth between £3.5m and £9m per year.
