Willmott Dixon wins three health projects

22 Aug 11 Willmott Dixon has picked up three NHS ProCure 21+ projects, together worth £20m.

The largest, valued at £8m, is for Queen Victoria NHS Foundation Trust in East Grinstead, where six new theatres will be developed, along with an admissions suite and a day surgery unit. This will be delivered by Willmott Dixon’s Cobham office by December 2012.

Willmott Dixon has also been appointed by West London Mental Health NHS Trust for a £7m scheme at Broadmoor Hospital in Berkshire. The project includes delivery of a new training facility and energy centre as well as enabling works in preparation for a proposed redevelopment of the site. This will again be carried out by the contractor’s Cobham office, with the enabling work due to be completed by July 2013.

The company has also been appointed by East & North Hertfordshire NHS Trust for a £5m project at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage. Willmott Dixon’s Hitchin office will refurbish an intensive care unit and a 30-bed inpatient ward, as well as create a new chemotherapy facility.
