Job Description
IT Technician Location: Cambridge Level: Graduate Are you a recent IT graduate with a degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and Information Systems? You'll have a proactive approach to helping colleagues and enjoy coming up with solutions to assist colleagues use internal IT systems. The Company My client is very well established in providing a wide range of forensic investigation services for the insurance and risk management industries as well as the legal profession. They have offices in the UK & abroad with experienced scientists and engineers undertaking investigations worldwide. The Role To provide 1st and 2nd line support to users and assist with technical advice on developments within IT hardware and software. You will play a key role in the implementation of hardware and software whilst supporting the setup and management of IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities of the role (including, but not limited to;)-
Deploy new software applications and updates
Compliance with Information Security policies
Perform system builds, upgrades and repairs
Participate in projects involving configuration, deployment and user training of various software/hardware solutions.
Monitor network equipment and servers
Provide deskside support to users
Ensure effective 1st and 2nd line support

Have attained a 1st Class or Upper 2nd honours degree in an IT based subject
A higher degree of study or research (eg MSc or PhD) is desirable
Have a valid UK driving licence as travel to and from various sites is required
