BioChemical Science Lecturer

Job Description

Protocol are currently recruiting for an HE Applied BioChemical Lecturer to join a long-standing modern, forward-thinking University Group in East London in the New Academic Year. This establishment offers a flexible, student-focused style of education to cater for all its students. We are seeking a dynamic and successful BioSciences Lecturer who holds a wealth of industry experience and demonstrable high quality teaching practice across both Biological and Chemical units and topics.

Role responsibilities
Preparing and delivering regular lectures for students
Preparing and marking student assignments, essays, exams and providing one-on-one feedback on academic performance where necessary
Guiding class discussions, whilst encouraging debate and feedback among students
Adhering to the establishments in house policies
Attending departmental and faculty meetings with other staff members
Delivery of the allocated Biosciences - Chemistry and Biology degree modules from Foundation Level to Year 3 degree

The person & qualifications
Hold a Masters Degree in BioSciences, BioChemistry or similar subject area
Have experience of teaching level 5/6 and above
Hold Higher Education teaching experience
Demonstrable high levels of student engagement
Flexible, adaptable
