Job Description
Land & Development Manager Job - Northern England
A new Land & Development Manager job opportunity working as part of the residential development division of one of the UK's largest development and regeneration businesses.
As a Land & Development Manager for residential developments across the North West, you will be responsible for the purchase of land, supporting project cost, planning, marketing, programming, procurement, and management under the direction of the Regional Head of Developments.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support in the delivery of a programme of development schemes including major projects, partnership deals and land-led opportunities
- Responsible for the whole life cycle of sourcing land opportunities through to pre-construction and the start of on-site construction
- Negotiating terms for the acquisition of land or property and managing the purchase process
- Taking an active role in the planning process and working with stakeholders including local authorities to agree S106 and public consultation activities.
Skills & Experience Required
- A proven track record in delivering a scope of works related to residential projects
- Experience taking projects from land acquisition to construction
- Ideally you will have experience of all housing
- You will be highly numerate and as at ease analysing and making changes to complex financial models/appraisals as you are negotiating land deals.
This role is home based covering the North of England as a region. You will from time to time be required to attend meetings in Preston, so the ability to commute to Preston and within the region is essential.
In addition, it would be highly advantageous if you have pre-existing relationships within the North of England and be able to call upon these to help identify development opportunities or when working through complex planning with local authorities.
