Finance Analyst

Job Description

As an Analyst you’ll join our dynamic and collaborative finance team. Reporting into the Divisional Accountant, you’ll own and drive the production of monthly management accounts for manufacturing business units as well as providing accurate inventory reports and analysis.

About the role

You will play a key role in producing monthly accounts whilst liaising with the operational business and assisting in producing 18 month rolling forecasts and budgets. In addition to these, other responsibilities may include ;

Participating in process improvement.

Utilising Google Sheets for collaboration, JD Edwards (Oracle), Qlikview Financial Suite and other ERP to gather and analyse data to report results.

Ensuring best practice and standardisation are being applied and contributed towards.

Offering the business financial analytical support, which is essential to gaining knowledge and understanding of the business at an operational level.

Assist in executing key components of the planning process according to defined timelines.

Work to an agreed level of service and provide an input on how to improve to the Senior/Team Lead.

Effectively communicate with all stakeholders.

Assisting in Internal Controls documentation.

What will you bring?

Evidence of previous Management Accounting experience.

Dealing with different stakeholders with differing levels of financial knowledge.

Confident character who is comfortable in addressing business needs. 

Excellent communicator.

Willingness to travel to sites within the UK, to increase business knowledge and understanding as well as building positive relationships with the operational business.

Ability to work as part of a team and also as an individual.
