Garden designer Job in Brighton

This award-winning landscape design practice that is seeking a passionate Garden Designer to join its team in Brighton.

The company has been developing a growing portfolio of landmark projects both in the UK and internationally. The teams are made of Landscape Architects, Urban designers, Horticulturalists and Garden designers.

Their practice covers varied projects from large scale residential, public realm and commercial to award winning bespoke garden designs.

Due to continued growth they now required a Garden Designer to join the team.

Role & Responsibilities

-Working with clients to produce innovative and beautiful designs
-Promotion of the business and its design ethos
-Supporting Junior members of the team
-To contribute to fee agreement with clients by setting out the scope of service to be delivered on each project.
-Contribute to development programmes for project team members.
-Responsible for leading the landscape design process and for communicating and delivering ASD's landscape design quality objectives for the project.
-To provide design solutions to Landscape project work.
-Working on the preparation of graphical information for presentations, concept design and detail designs
-Assist and implement a broad range of landscape projects, liaising with clients and contractors, preparing contract --documentation, appointment and supervision of contractors (including internal teams) and contract administration.
-Working directly with clients and external professionals
-Contract administration
-Attending of site visits
-Producing written design reports
-To work towards presenting landscape projects both verbally and graphically to potential clients from private, public sectors.

Required Skills & Experience

- Have a Diploma/Degree in Landscape Architecture or Garden Design with at least 3 years of relevant working experience
- Have excellent design skills as demonstrated in supplied portfolio
- You must be a self-motivated, highly organised team player
- Possess excellent graphic skills
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD/Vectorworks, Sketchup ,Adobe creative suite and NBS.
