Area Operations Manager (Ref: 9577)

Job Description

We have an opportunity for a confident and highly motivated Area Operations Manager who will be responsible for leading and managing day to day operations on the 8 Readymix concrete plants in the north east reporting to the Area Manager About the role Plants –Ashington, Gateshead, Darlington, Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Salford & Wythenshawe Manage and maintain resource levels and standards in order to fulfil the requirements of our customers and meet trading expectations Establish and agree with the Area Manager operational budgets in respect of fixed costs and manage and report on accordingly. These costs to include all proposed revenue and capital expenditure To manage the assigned asset base and ensure all assets are maintained in order that the projected life cycles of assets are attained as minimum. To ensure that asset transfers and disposals are administrated correctly and that prior approval is secured Ensure compliance to all external legislation and Company standards / procedures is achieved and maintained at all times and that adequate levels of interactive safety tours are carried out on regular basis and records are input managed through KMI Effectively communicate across the Company / Group / Region with the view of optimising the respective overall performance potential Maintain a high degree of market and competitor awareness with communication with the wider team Direct, train & motivate the Operational Team to achieve specific and agreed targets Maximise the value of the Company’s products and services Ensure standards of excellence are attained in respect of customer service and develop / improve good working relationships with our commercial teams To ensure that the Company’s cash sale procedure is fully complied with Comply with all aspects of the Quality Assurance Manual including complying with the distribution / control of controlled documents Promote awareness / compliance with the Company’s Health, Safety and environmental policies and communicate perceived / known non-conformances immediately to appropriate department heads What will you bring?
