There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our West Midlands Division, located in Tamworth is looking to recruit a Commercial Systems and Processes Consultant to join the Division’s Commercial department. The Role The main objectives of the Commercial Systems and Processes Consultant role are as follows: To support divisions in their compliance with Group Commercial Policies and Processes. To provide system support and issue resolution for commercial aspects of COINS and associated systems/software To test and rollout new and revised Commercial Processes To support Group Commercial in the rollout of Group Commercial Policies To deliver and maintain a commercial training programme and associated training materials To test upgrades, changes and fixes required in the commercial aspects of COINS and associated systems/ software The duties and responsibilities below reflect principal elements of the Commercial Systems and Processes Consultants role and is therefore not exhaustive: To design and deliver unit, business process and user acceptance testing for COINS and associated systems/software changes Contribute to the development of Group Commercial policies Use best practice and system functionality knowledge to develop Group Commercial Processes, taking input as needed from Group Commercial, to ensure Group Commercial Policies are complied with Assist Group Commercial in the rollout of Group Commercial Policies and work with divisions to assist and train them in implementing appropriate Commercial Processes Continually seek to identify areas of business improvement where Commercial systems/software can provide additional benefit to the Group and the Divisions towards achieving business objectives Provide training and skills transfer to Super-Users to allow the Super-User group to provide first line support Provide training and skills transfer to users, including new starters, on system enhancements and changes and to provide regular refresher training as deem necessary Experience, Qualifications and Skills Experience 5+ years working in a Commercial Role for a large house-building or construction organisation Qualifications and Training Surveying and/or purchasing related degree Detailed knowledge of and experience using COINS Experience of implementing and/or changing Commercial systems Experienced with data analysis and Excel Understanding of Bellway’s current Commercial Policies and operations Skills and Aptitude Drive and determination to achieve results and get things right Ability to develop a good understanding of the commercial needs of the business (especially during a period of change) Proactively seek areas for improvement Analysis, understand and create solution for issues as they arise Ability to work on own initiative Customer focused and able to build strong and effective relationships with business and external stakeholders Experience of providing training Deadline focussed Methodical approach with strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communications Enthusiastic and team spirited Committed to diversity and inclusion The Role and Working Conditions Willing to be flexible in respect to day to day duties and hours worked. Office based role, with travel within the Divisional area. Ability to travel to Divisions across the country as and when required. This may include periods of time during the week away from home.
