Timber Frame Designer
Roof Truss Designer
Oxfordshire
£35-40,000
Full time, permanent
Designer required with either timber frame or roof truss design experience, working for a company whose position in the offsite construction industry is well established and respected. Working on projects including residential, commercial and public sector, you will be involved in designing both superstructures (utilising timber frame technology) and roof trusses and other timber engineering elements of the projects. There will be a real focus on quality, cost-effectiveness and adherence to design codes and health & safety standards. There should be some real prospects for a varied workload, so please get in touch to register your interest.
What will you need to be shortlisted for this role:
- Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD as well as specialist software which could be Consultec, Mitek Pamir and/or Woodengine, Gangnail or Wolf (or other similar software packages)
- Proven experience designing for construction, and preference will be given to experience in timber frame or timber engineering
- Good attention to detail and able to provide cost-effective designs
