Design Manager Mechanical Bias

What is the opportunity?

  • We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Manager to be part of the MEICA design team responsible for managing the mechanical design on major construction and infrastructure projects (MEP value of £20m - 100m+).

What is the working pattern?

  • This is a full time role based on a hybrid working pattern between days in an office (Dartford or Manchester) and working remotely, the proportions of which will vary according to the demands and dynamics of individual projects.

What will the role look like?

  • Our design teams ensure technical excellence, assurance and performance across all projects and opportunities from pre-project, early engagement and work winning through to detailed delivery.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • Mechanical design experience with an MEP consultancy and/or contractor on major bids and projects such as fast track data centres; hospitals; prisons; science; stadia; high rise commercial & residential; and infrastructure.
  • The ability to select & manage innovative methods, use of materials & safe systems of work.
  • Effective communication with senior management, designers, consultants, clients/Architects and project team on technical matters.
