Timber Frame Designer

Job Description

An experienced Timber Frame Designer is required for a successful and profitable manufacturer of high quality timber buildings, where you will be supporting your Design Manager in the preparation of design drawings for production. These designs are bespoke for some of the most prestigious clients in the country.

You will be working largely unsupervised so your work will need to be of a high degree of accuracy and contain the relevant information for the workshop to produce your building designs. In addition to working with your design and production colleagues, you will be liaising with individual clients, developers and mainstream house builders to ensure a smooth handover once the customer's order is confirmed. You will therefore be seeing the project through from enquiry through to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for you if you are interested in the offsite construction / MMC industry, as your work will be produced within close proximity to the design office, so you will be able to see how it progresses.

Interested? Do you have:

* Experience in building system design (eg timber frame, offsite manufacture and modular buildings)
* Ability to undertake site surveys and liaise with construction Site Managers
* Ability to liaise and coordinate projects with consulting engineers
* Understanding of general construction (foundations, connections, structural loading and structural principles)
* Working knowledge of Revit or other design software used in manufacturing for construction (eg 3D AutoCAD, Mitek, Wolf Horizon, hsbCAD or similar)

Please apply today or call Sue Eustace on 0117 959 2008 if you would like further information. Your call will of course be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
