Electrical Maintenance Manager (Ref:9463)

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Manager to join our friendly and collaborative team at our Torr site, within Aggregate Industries. As an Electrical Maintenance Manager, you will have sufficient character and courage to conduct yourself in such a manner as to be a credit to the site and encourage positive behaviours and endeavours from superiors, peers and subordinates alike. About the role Your overarching responsibility will be the management of safe and effective electrical maintenance engineering development activity at Torr Works towards world-class standards. You must ensure the plant is available to run at its designed capacity without entailing excessive cost or downtime. Other key deliverables include; Line management of all electrical personnel, currently 9 people, including contractors & apprentices Assisting the site Manager in the application, implantation of and compliance with the company’s Safety Rules, Health and Safety policy, Environmental policy, Site specific rules and to ensure that all activities under your control are conducted within the requirements of current legislation Running of the department such that profitability is contributed to at the highest possible level at all times and that manning and activities undertaken are reviewed periodically in order to achieve this Ensuring that all functional locations identified as being required within the maintenance department structure are suitably manned and that gaps and absences (authorised and unauthorised) are covered such that they do not adversely impact on the ability of the department to support (safe, profitable) site production activities. Instigating other on-going training such as toolbox talks, on job training, refresher training Setting suitable electrical standards and ensuring they are able to be and are adhered to. This is to include other standards relevant to an electrical department such as housekeeping What will you bring? A highly motivated individual with drive and enthusiasm Ability to work as part of a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation Excellent communication and team working skills Good understanding of health and safety 18th Edition Level 4 NVQ Experience in the electrical engineering maintenance industry A sound knowledge of electrical engineering services What can we offer you?
