Job Description

Combine your estimating, pricing and communication skills in this pivotal role within Aggregate Industries. Do you have the desire to understand the commercial and technical requirements of our bid process whilst acting as customer contact. As Estimator you’ll join our spirited and professional Contracting team. Reporting to our Managing Estimator, you’ll be responsible for all estimating functions from our Exeter office and for leading and successfully pricing commercial tenders involving surfacing works and minor civils on behalf of our Southern paving business. About the role Playing a key role as Estimator, you’ll be responsible for ensuring bids are submitted in accordance with IMS procedures, working with the Regional Operations team, in developing a secure and sustainable order book that delivers the requirements of the business plan. Other key accountabilities include: Successful development and management of key customer relationships Winning new work at sustainable margins Establishing excellent trading relationships with both internal and external suppliers Preferential surfacing background with a proven estimating track record Ideally qualified to HNC level Study the commercial and technical requirements of the bid making due allowance for and manage those requirements that may place the company at risk or provide commercial opportunities What will you bring?
