Facilities Assistant

Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit a Facilities Assistant to work for a local council for a minimum of 1 month, based in Barnsley.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Driving Licence
  • Experience within facilities or caretaking is desirable

Duties are varied and will include:

  • To work within a variety of council departments including markets, facilities and recycling
  • Unlocking and locking council premises
  • Ordering stock
  • Industrial cleaning
  • Sorting recycling waste from ordinary waste
  • Light maintenance work
  • Erecting and dismantling temporary stalls and equipment for the markets and at council events

The typical hours worked per week are 37, however flexibility would be desired in case of demand for weekend overtime.

Pay is £9.16ph + holiday pay, with a weekend rate of £13.74ph.
