Weighbridge Coordinator

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Aggregate & Inert Tipping Weighbridge Coordinator to be the face of our Kempsford Sand and Gravel Quarry. You will play a key role in dealing with customers in a polite and helpful manner at all times. Working actively and collaboratively as one of the team you’ll ensure the safe and seamless movement of delivery goods vehicles on and off-site including the inert tipping operation adding a complexity to this role. About the role As one of our Weighbridge Coordinators you’ll be responsible for a range of duties, weighing customers in/out, building strong relationships with customers, running reports on our system and being involved in general administration activity. Other elements of the role include: To produce an accurate weighbridge ticket for all loads entering and leaving the site Identify the customer account and material and ensure the correct vehicle registration, customer, product, haulier, source, destination, and order number is recorded Ensure all drivers and visitors are wearing appropriate PPE Refuse to accept/ issue material when a customer’s account is on credit stop (unless authorisation is obtained from Commercial Manager or credit control department) Notify the driver when the vehicle is overweight Keep the weighbridge balanced and reading zero and notify your manager of any operational problems with the weighbridge (damage, cleanliness, inaccuracies) Inspect inbound documentation to ensure compliance Ensure outbound documentation is completed accurately and completely in accordance with legislation Maintain the weighbridge office in a clean and tidy manner Ensure that drivers and visitors are aware of site rules Answering the telephone in a professional manner Be aware of professional responsibility towards health and safety, use of PPE, reporting accidents, incidents and near misses What will you bring?
