MECHANICAL FITTER - AUTOMATION AND MACHINE BUILD

MONDAY TO FRIDAY DAY SHIFT

£26,000 - £28,000 PER ANNUM + OVERTIME

PERMANENT POSITION

LEICESTERSHIRE/ QUORN/ LOUGHBOROUGH

THE ROLE OF MECHANICAL FITTER

Building up various components

Building subassemblies

Reading technical drawings

MIG Welding boxes and frames for machinery

Machining of components

Use of various hand tools and air tools

Liaising between engineering and manufacturing departments

Full machine build

THE RIGHT MECHANICAL FITTER

Competent machine builder

Willing to work away on installations

Mechanical and pneumatic fitting skills

Ability to work on 'one off' special purpose equipment

Essential experience - machine build or automation background

Ability to work from engineering drawings and parts lists

Work with designers and others to improve current designs

Work on own initiative and as part of a team, with minimum supervision

MIG Welding experience would be a desirable attribute
