Job Description
My client is currently looking to recruit an Operations Supervisor for an exciting opportunity to start ASAP
This role is to work for a reputable Diamond Drilling and Cutting company, who have seen their order book and profit increase year on year.
- Permanent contract starting ASAP
- Predominantly office based (Tyne & Wear)
- Hours of work are 7.30 - 4.30pm
- Opportunity for progression into a higher management role
- Rate is negotiable, performance bonus offered as well as company vehicle provided & pension contribution
- Training will be provided from current supervisor but also from company manager.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working within the diamond drilling and cutting industry
- A strong knowledge of duties and machinery required to complete each task
- Previous experience working as a supervisor and putting operatives to work
- Strong communication skills - answering calls, making some cold calls and taking in orders.
- Previous experience working as a supervisor, with good on site knowledge, but is now happy to take on an office based role.
Duties
- Day to day management of diary and putting operatives to work
- Organising and meeting with clients both existing and new.
- Sales training provided for maintaining of current client relationships and development of new clients (This is however not a sales role!)
- Reading drawings
- Taking client orders, arranging, and raising orders and invoices.
- Ordering of materials and plant
- Monitoring and tracking costs
Requirements
- SMSTS / SSSTS highly desired - but training can be provided if have experience but not certification
- Previous experience working within a similar role
- Full driving license as will be mainly North East based but will be required to attend meetings with clients old and new.
- Proof of right to work documents
