Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative to join our team at our Concrete Block Manufacturing plant near Shepton Mallet.
About the role
You’ll join a multi-skilled production team with the key objective being to ensure the safe and efficient manufacture of a number of pre-cast concrete products in line with the agreed sales and production plan. You’ll actively promote our health, safety and welfare values while ensuring we maintain leading quality standards.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Operation of automated block making equipment and machinery
- Operation of forklifts, loading shovel and twin clamp mobile plant
- Carrying out any remedial actions and basic planned preventative maintenance routines
- Maintaining leading housekeeping standards across the site
- Loading of delivery vehicles
- Plant and equipment inspections to ensure they are fit for purpose
