Inventory Manager required for a supplier of specialist products for the construction industry. We are looking for someone to join the team who will be responsible for forecasting, planning, co-ordinating, leading and running an efficient inventory level for a group of branches around the South Coast.
Your role will include:
- Analysing inventory data, interpreting trends and forward planning
- Taking decisions to support managing inventory and the purchasing strategies
- Managing and updating stock profiles across your allocated branches, making allowances for changes in customer demand/supplier suitability
- Placing and expediting purchase orders ensuring lowest costs are achieved
- Assisting in forecasting, planning and ordering towards purchase targets
As Inventory Controller / Inventory Manager you will enjoy a close working relationship with various colleagues in Transport, Sales and allocated branches, ensuring you are providing a consistent, high standard of service to all stakeholders.
About you:
You will: -
- be qualified with Business Management / Business Studies or similar.
- Have extensively proficient in IT (including Microsoft Excel to advanced level)
- possess Strong analytical skills?
- be an excellent communicator, and able to do so by telephone and through presentations
- have some prior experience of working with an ERP systems, this would be highly useful, Although full training our client's ERP system will be given,
- Can you interpret data?
- Are you able to adapt, enabling you to thrive in a continually changing dynamic environment ?
- Do you have a good commercial awareness, able to handle a variety of issues?
- You will have excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise your workload
