Concrete Plant Operative/Batcher (Ref: 9443)

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Operative to join our team at our Ready-Mix concrete plant in Preston. About the role As we continue to win work and grow our production volumes (including upcoming work on the Preston bypass) we are looking to add another member to the on-site plant team. The key objective of the role is to ensure the safe and efficient manufacture of our ready-mix concrete solutions in order to meet customer specifications in line with the agreed sales and production plan. In addition, you’ll actively promote our health, safety and welfare values while ensuring we maintain leading quality standards. Other key responsibilities include: Controlling of material stock and loading bays in line with permitting conditions Ensuring the correct data in terms of materials and mix designs is programmed in per delivery Running of the batching plant process as per customer specification Liaising with drivers/hauliers ensuring their safety on site at all times Operation of wheel loaders and associated mobile plant Carrying out any remedial actions and basic planned preventative maintenance routines Maintaining leading housekeeping standards across the site What will you bring?
