Caterpillar dealer Finning has pledged to save the UK plant industry £10m in 2010, through an initiative aimed at improving servicing and increasing the lifespan of construction machinery.

The Lastability scheme is supported by a standalone website www.lastability.com, which includes resources such as customer videos, hints and tips, monthly themes, and exclusive offers to members.

“2010 is make or break for a lot of plant owners and operators. Fundamentally, any plant investment and servicing decisions made this year could be crucial to their future success,” said Gary Agnew, Finning general sales manager.

“Through Lastability, we can help them reduce their costs, make efficiency gains, improve productivity or minimise their operations impact on the environment.”
