NG Bailey appoints former Carillion director as new chief exec

3 Jun 10 NG Bailey has appointed former Carillion executive director David Hurcomb as its new chief executive. He starts in September.

Hurcomb, aged 46, was previously on the board of Carillion, in charge of the UK building, PFI and property businesses.

He left Carillion last year and joins NG Bailey from Scottish printing group Havelock Europa, where he is interim chief executive.

Chris Newton, who took over as acting chief executive of NG Bailey after Mark Andrews left last October, will revert to his previous role of chief finance officer.

Hurcomb, a graduate engineer and chartered accountant, joined Carillion in March 2005 having previously held a number of senior positions in Balfour Beatty and prior to that Mansell, where he was a main board director.
