Formwork and falsework specialist RMD Kwikform has grown its overseas revenue by 185% over six years, generating total revenue of £154m.

The West Midlands-based firm has been awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2010, for increasing its overseas business. This includes projects such as the River Homen bridge in Spain (pictured).

Steven Dance, RMD Kwikform divisional managing director said: “Over the last six years we have made significant investment in our global business, increasing our reach and strengthening our position in key markets across the world. Because of this expansion, today we generate over three quarters of our turnover from overseas markets.

"What we have done as a business is successfully adapt to the changing global landscape, taking our health and safety focused methods of operation and integrating them into over 30 different countries.

"The award is a major achievement that recognises the efforts of all our staff across the globe, in what has been an extremely challenging business climate."

RMD Kwikform has a global workforce of 1,050 in 55 offices across 18 countries.
