Black Country event to reveal work opportunities

2 Jun 16 Black Country subcontractors and materials suppliers are invited to a free Meet the Buyer event in Walsall on 8th June to find out about upcoming work in the area.

The Constructionline event, being held at Banks’s (Bescot) Stadium, is designed to give small businesses an opportunity to meet decision-makers from potential clients in the region.

Among those attending will be representatives from Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, the University of Wolverhampton and Birmingham City Council’s building works consultancy, Acivico.

Private sector buyers set to appear include Kier, Wates, Mears, Vinci Facilities and United Living.

Seminars will be hosted by NHS London Procurement Partnership, Speller Metcalfe and Bibby Financial Services.

Acivico head of facilities management Leo McMulkin said: “We want to make it easier for SMEs in the area to win work and we’re looking forward to meeting potential new suppliers face-to-face to get a real sense of how joining our supply chain will help to bring our projects to life.”

The event is free and suppliers do not have to be Constructionline members to attend.
