CIC seeks views on managers' standards review

2 Jun 14 The Construction Industry Council is seeking industry reaction to its revised national occupational standards (NOS) for construction senior management.

The CIC review has focussed on integrating new industry practices relating to sustainability, energy use, low carbon and Building Information Modelling. It now wants to hear from the industry whether these standards are fit for purpose. It is inviting construction managers to participate in an on line consultation.

These national occupational standards are relevant to all those in policy-making, director or senior management roles in the construction sector. The review has looked at integrating new industry practices relating to sustainability, energy use, low carbon and building information modelling.

These standards are applicable to contract, production and commercial managers, project managers, operations directors of smaller construction companies, property and facilities managers and specialist construction managers.

Details of the consultation are available on cic.consult-on.com.

The deadline for responses is 11 July 2014
