Bryn Thomas Cranes has opened a new depot in Bredbury, serving the Greater Manchester region.

The crane hire company already has three other depots in Flint, Durham and Scunthorpe.

The Manchester depot operates eight cranes initially, ranging from 35-tonne to 100-tonne capacity.

All the machines are Liebherr all terrain cranes except for a new Spierings SK1265-AT6 truck-mounted tower crane, which has a 60-metre reach and 35-metre lifting height.

The new depot manager is Garry Burke who previously managed Ainscough Crane Hire’s depot in Manchester for many years. He has joined Bryn Thomas after 27 years with Ainscough.

He recently joined our growing company after working for Ainscough for 27 years. He will run the depot and be a key / core employee over the coming years.

The plan is for Mr Burke to build the depot fleet up to 16 cranes over the next two years. Two more Liebherrs – both 40-tonne capacity LTM 1040-2.1 models – are scheduled for delivery in September 2016.
