Housing repair deal for Wates

27 Oct 16 Social housing landlord Family Mosaic has handed Wates Living Space a pair of contracts for responsive repairs and minor improvements in deals worth a combined £13.2m.

The two contracts will run for four years and will see Wates provide maintenance work across 3,213 properties in Islington and 4,667 properties in Hackney.

Services will comprise responsive repairs, including plumbing, drainage and emergency out-of-hours services, and minor improvement works, including kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, electrical installations and external renovation works.

Wates Living Space managing director David Morgan said: “Our appointment to these two contracts by Family Mosaic once again evidences our market-leading proficiency in the maintenance of the country’s social housing stock and bolsters our ongoing growth in the Greater London region.”

Family Mosaic assistant director Emma O’Shea said: “Wates Living Space is a very welcome addition to our network of contractors.”
