Morgan Sindall has been selected on an early contractor involvement basis.
Crewe Green Link Road South is expected to reduce congestion south of Crewe and open up development land. It will run 1.1km from an existing roundabout connecting the A532 Weston Rd South and University Way A502 and ties into an existing roundabout at northern spur of the A500 Hough-Shavington, east of Mill Lane.
Actual contract value, estimated in the region of £12m to £19m, will become clearer as the scheme develops.
