Offices to homes plan in Gerrards Cross

23 Sep 13 Plans have been submitted for local approval to convert two empty office buildings in the Buckinghamshire town of Gerards Cross into housing.

Inland Homes has exchanged contracts to buy the empty offices in Station Road, Gerrards Cross, and has applied to South Bucks Council for permission to convert them.

The application uses ‘prior approval notification’ procedures, in line with new legislation brought in by the government in May 2013 to promote office to residential conversion.

Subject to approval, the buildings, which total 13,000 square feet, will be converted into 30 apartments for private sale.

It is intended that work will start on the development in January 2014.
