CRC Medical provides bespoke ventilation systems for operating theatres and cleanrooms. Halton said that its acquisition strengthens its presence in the Swedish HVAC market and will make the combined businesses a market leader in the medical heating and ventilating sector.

“We at Halton have grown our presence in the healthcare and cleanroom sector in Europe through strong innovations,” said Halton director Anu Saxén.

“We are very happy to announce that in Sweden, CRC Medical, a strong local player in operating room ventilation solutions, has joined Halton... This will enable us to provide our customers with a complete range of high-quality solutions for both healthcare and cleanroom environments,” added Saxén.

Anders Rehn, CEO of CRC Medical, commented: “Halton is a strong actor with a great reputation in the market. As a family-owned company with a long-term vision, Halton strongly emphasises innovation. I see this as a fantastic opportunity for us to further develop our offering and serve our clients in the healthcare sector even better in the future”.

Halton Group was founded in Finland in 1969. Today it employs over 1,800 people in 35 countries and in 2021 it turned over €220m (£193m). CRC Medical was founded in 2009 and turns over approximately €1.5m. It has operations in three countries and currently employs four people. CRC Medical will now be rebranded as Halton Health AB.

Between them, Halton and CRC Medical have installed over 800 hospital HVAC systems.
