The mixed-use US$3.2 billion development - which spans nearly 10 million sq ft – will deliver several retail outlets, office space, housing, restaurants, entertainment and a school as well as creating over 50,000 office jobs & housing for 13,000 residents when completed.
It is anticipated that the total number of people working on the development from various construction businesses will reach 6500 prior to completion.
A full range of Speedy equipment worth £2.5 million will be used by the Al Futtaim Carillion on-site including the latest tele-handlers and backhoe loaders.
Services from Speedy include asset management, bar-coded tool distribution system, training, and health and safety advice.
A nine strong team from Speedy are on-site in Cairo to facilitate the optimum use of the equipment and services, which is set to increase to 40 as the project develops.
