The building is part of the Manufacturing Technology Centre campus on Ansty Park in Coventry.

Wates will install specialist research and development equipment for advanced manufacturing as well as all mechanical and electrical systems. The project is set for completion in September 2015.

Forming the second phase of the £60m HTRC development, the fit-out will see Wates continue its role as main contractor at the scheme following its completion and handover of the 5,800 m2 new-build project this month.

Once complete, the HTRC will enable production-scale research and development for aerospace and other industial sectors.

The centre sits alongside the Manufacturing Technology Centre’s (MTC) new £30m Aerospace Research Centre and the £36m Lloyds Bank Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre, which have also been built by Wates.
