Wates starts Stockport’s £45m leisure scheme

Redrock Stockport will provide 7,000 m² of leisure, retail and restaurants, including a 10- screen cinema.

Wates Construction regional director Tony Shenton said: “Stockport Council’s investment in the new leisure scheme at Redrock signals a resurgence of economic optimism that is emerging across the northwest. Up until this point, the build programme has seen Wates appoint a local supply chain; a commitment that is set to provide an economic boost to the area and generate a host of training and employment opportunities for the community.”
