It has recruited a new business development director from York-based Shepherd Construction to spearhead that growth drive. Christian Bailey will be responsible for building relationships with commercial clients and growing Wates’ private sector project portfolio in the north.
Mr Bailey has previously worked for McLaren and Wilmott Dixon in senior business development positions and at regional board level.
Tony Shenton, business unit director for Wates Construction in the northwest, said: “Christian’s appointment forms part of our ambitious strategy for growth in the north and will serve to underpin our efforts to expand our private sector project portfolio.”
