Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor Salary: £60,000-£75,000 + benefits | Permanent | Hybrid - 3 days on site

I'm currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Projects division in Bristol, supporting a newly secured £16m retrofit and refurbishment contract.

The project covers four high-rise residential buildings, including cladding renewals, scaffolding, mass climbers and associated refurbishment works.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS to take commercial ownership of a major social housing project, working within a small, experienced and supportive commercial team. Established Quantity Surveyors ready to step up are also encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead commercial management, cost control, forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Maximise contractual entitlement, cash flow and profitability.
  • Manage subcontractor orders, valuations and client queries.
  • Identify commercial risks, manage disputes and advise on contractual matters.
  • What we're looking for:

  • Experience in social housing refurbishment or construction.
  • Strong commercial, contractual and financial management skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
  • NEC4 knowledge and retrofit experience are advantageous.
  • Relevant industry qualification and a full UK driving licence.
  • Salary and benefits:

  • £60,000-£75,000 salary, depending on experience.
  • Discretionary profit-related bonus up to 10%.
