We are currently looking for a hardworking and reliable Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a growing team delivering high-quality communal garden maintenance services to Housing Association clients.

The role involves working across multiple sites in Dagenham, Haywards Heath, Slough and Watford, so candidates must be comfortable travelling between sites.

This is a hands-on, outdoor role. If you enjoy working outdoors and take pride in maintaining green spaces, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out communal grounds maintenance to a high standard across multiple sites

• Operate grass cutting machinery, strimmers and hedge cutters safely and effectively

• Carry out grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, pruning and general garden maintenance

• Maintain flower beds, shrubs and planted areas

• Carry out weed control treatments, with spraying experience desirable

• Complete litter picking and keep communal areas clean and presentable

• Follow Health & Safety procedures and use PPE correctly

• Work efficiently as part of a team to complete scheduled work

Requirements

• Previous grounds maintenance or garden maintenance experience preferred

• Experience with grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, pruning and general landscaping

• Spraying experience is desirable

• Full UK manual driving licence

• No previous motoring convictions or disqualifications

• Must be over 21 years old due to fleet insurance requirements

• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

• Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team

• Eligible to live and work in the UK

Working Hours & Pay

• Full-time, permanent position

• Monday to Friday

• 40 hours per week

• 8-hour shifts

• Optional Saturday overtime available

• Salary from £27,352 per annum, depending on experience

Experience
