Are you an experienced Groundworker ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Groundworker to join a growing and well-established business operating across South East London and Kent.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example whilst remaining actively involved on site. You will be responsible for overseeing a small team of two Groundworkers and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard across multiple projects.

The Role
As Lead Groundworker, you will:
- Lead and supervise a team of two Groundworkers across multiple sites
- Carry out hands-on groundworks activities including drainage, foundations, paving, kerbing, concreting, excavation
- Coordinate daily site activities and allocate workloads
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to specification
- Conduct site inspections and maintain high-quality standards
- Liaise with site managers, subcontractors and clients where required
- Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed at all times
- Manage materials, plant and equipment efficiently across sites
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience within groundworks
- Previous experience leading or supervising small site teams (Desirable)
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to read and interpret site drawings
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- CSCS Card essential
- SSSTS/SMSTS would be advantageous
