The client is seeking a dedicated Senior Block Manager to oversee a vibrant portfolio of approximately 600 residential units in Hertfordshire. About the Role
The Senior Block Manager will be responsible for the seamless day-to-day management of a diverse portfolio, ensuring high standards of maintenance, service delivery, and tenant satisfaction. You will lead, support, and mentor the Assistant Block Manager, fostering a collaborative and professional environment. The role involves liaising with clients, contractors, and residents to uphold the property's value and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of approximately 600 units, ensuring compliance with lease agreements, health and safety standards, and service charge budgets
- Lead, support, and mentor the Assistant Block Manager to deliver excellent service standards
- Manage routine inspections, maintenance planning, and contractor relationships
- Handle all client communications and reporting, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders
- Assist in budget management, financial reporting, and lease enforcement
- Resolve tenant issues and disputes efficiently, maintaining high levels of tenant satisfaction
- Contribute to strategic planning for property improvements and long-term value enhancement
What the Client is Looking For
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience in residential or commercial property management, with TPi Level 2 qualification or higher preferred
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing or supervising teams
- Strong knowledge of leasehold legislation, property maintenance, and financial management
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach with exceptional attention to detail
