We are recruiting two experienced Air Source Heat Pump Service and Repair Engineers to maintain and repair low-carbon heating systems in domestic properties across Somerset. Role Overview As an Air Source Heat Pump Service and Repair Engineer, you will service, diagnose and repair air source heat pump systems and associated heating controls, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This is specifically a service and repair position. Applicants must have relevant experience in fault-finding, servicing and repairing air source heat pump systems. Experience limited to installation or fitting will not meet the requirements of the role. You will work independently in occupied residential properties, manage your own appointments and provide a professional service to customers across Somerset. Important Eligibility Information To be considered for this role, you must have: * A Level 3 Heat Pump qualification or equivalent.* An Unvented Hot Water qualification (G3).
* A minimum of two years' post-qualification experience.
* Proven experience servicing and repairing air source heat pump systems.
* A full UK driving licence with no more than six points.
* The right to work in the UK.
* A home base in Somerset. Your CV must clearly demonstrate how you meet these essential requirements. Key Responsibilities * Service, diagnose and repair air source heat pump systems and associated heating controls.
* Complete electrical fault-finding relevant to domestic heating systems.
* Ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
* Work in accordance with health and safety legislation, statutory regulations, manufacturer guidance and company procedures.
* Deliver a professional service in occupied residential properties.
* Manage your workload, appointments and productivity independently.
* Complete job records, reports and parts requests accurately using company systems.
* Identify system improvements, additional work and potential safety issues.
* Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota when required.
* Represent the employer professionally when working with customers. Essential Requirements * Strong knowledge of low-temperature heating systems and controls.
* Electrical fault-finding skills relevant to heating systems.
* Experience working in occupied domestic properties.
* Knowledge of domestic renewable heating regulations.
* Awareness of MCS requirements.
* Experience with control systems, including weather compensation, zoning and hybrid systems.
* The ability to manage a field-based workload independently and meet productivity targets.
* A strong customer service approach.
* Awareness of health, safety and compliance requirements. Desirable Requirements * F-Gas certification.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (BS 7671).
* ACS qualifications, including CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 and CKR1. Benefits * Annual pay review.
