Enrichment Officer

Job Description

Protocol are delighted to be working with one of the most successful Colleges and in February 2018 Ofsted judged the College to be 'Good' in all that they do. The College is proud to be described as an 'inclusive college' and having a diverse workforce that mirrors our local community.
The Enrichment Coordinator will provide enrichment activities for all levels of learners across the college. Ideally, the post holder will hold a degree or level 3 qualification in youth work, sports or a related discipline. In addition experience of working with young people is essential.
This is post is 33 hours per week - term time.

Roles and Responsibilities

To work with the Learner Journey Team, students and staff to develop, co-ordinate and supervise a
programme of enrichment/ enhancement/ work placement activities.
To promote and encourage students to develop employability and leadership skills and collectively
support student engagement and retention.
To support the learner journey team in ensuring all the students of Buxton and Leek College have a smooth, valuable and positive life-changing experience from their initial contact with the college through
their transition into employment or to higher education.
In line with guidance from the Enrichment Officer, plan, run and monitor an annual programme of clubs, trips and activities for students to take part in, both independently and in liaison with curriculum staff.
To work with programme coordinators to ensure all 16-18 year old students have been schedule

Person Specification
Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience (A level or equivalent).
Able to interact positively with young people and adults.
Ability to use IT to a high level of competence
