The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative with a strong carpentry background to join a housing maintenance team working across London.

This is a permanent opportunity for a skilled carpenter with wider multi-trade capability and experience delivering responsive repairs or similar property maintenance work. The role involves working in occupied properties, completing repairs and maintenance while providing a professional service to residents.

£38,000 per annum.
Permanent position.
Opportunities available across North and South London.
Candidates must live within a practical commuting distance of the relevant patch.
The role involves travelling across the local London operating area.
Experience working in occupied properties is essential.
Strong carpentry experience with wider multi-trade capability is required.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out carpentry repairs and maintenance across residential properties.
Complete a range of multi-trade repairs as required.
Carry out responsive repairs and property maintenance works.
Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs.
Work across occupied properties while maintaining a professional approach with residents.
Complete work efficiently and to a high standard.
Maintain safe working practices at all times.
Record completed works and report any further issues identified.
Liaise professionally with residents, colleagues and other relevant stakeholders.
Travel across the relevant North or South London patch as required.

Essential Requirements

• Strong practical carpentry background.
• Wider multi-trade maintenance experience.
• Experience delivering responsive repairs or similar property maintenance work.
• Experience working in occupied residential properties.
• Good practical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to travel across the relevant London patch.
• Must be based within a practical commuting distance of the relevant area.
• Interested in a permanent position at £38,000 per annum.

Desirable

• Experience working within social housing or housing maintenance.
• Relevant carpentry or trade qualifications.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Full UK driving licence.
