Job Description
Role: Demand Planner Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE Location: York We currently have an opportunity for you to join our team in York as a Demand Planner. In this role you will work with key internal stakeholders to generate accurate and timely parts demand forecasts to ensure appropriate availability of materials for our internal customers. You will also support the Demand Management function by preparing and maintaining reports, data, tools and KPIs. To coordinate closely with supply planning to drive on time delivery and a high level of service for our customers. You'll be learning from the best, joining an ambitious and supportive team with extensive company and industry experience. As a Demand Planner you will have:- IT skills - Excel, PowerPoint, ERP System - e.g. SAP
- A solid understanding of Demand Planning procedures
- Data analysis and manipulation skills
- A track record delivering efficiency improvement and optimisation
- Generate accurate and timely part demand forecasts by reviewing historical trends, understanding demand drivers, developing statistical forecast models, and evaluating forecast results.
- Maintain the demand planning data and tools that support the forecasting process
- Prepare and maintain relevant reports and KPIs relating to the Demand Management Process
- Closely coordinate and communicate demand plans with supply planning to support the development of inventory strategies and supply plans.
- Monitor trends in forecast error to improve the forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate with Supply Planning to monitor progress against plan and to understand the implications of backorders on the customer.
