The Role & Project
Stafford Lawrence has been retained to source a key project leadership specialist for a major Electrical Subcontract Package on a FIFA 2034 World Cup Stadium in Saudi Arabia.

Executed as part of the sub-contract delivery team, this package encompasses site-wide high/medium voltage power, complex life safety systems, advanced venue security, and FIFA-compliant technical installations. We are seeking senior electrical and building services leaders with direct experience delivering complex electrical sub-packages for major sports infrastructure.

Key Technical Scope & Responsibilities
Site-Wide Electrical Delivery: Oversight of high/low voltage power distribution, emergency standby systems, pitch/venue sports lighting, and broadcast power infrastructure.

Fire & Life Safety Systems: Management, installation, and commissioning of integrated Fire Detection as well as Alarm, Mass Notification, and Suppression interfacing.

Security & Access Control: Delivery of site-wide physical and electronic security systems, including CCTV, Automated Access Control, Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM), as well as Control Room integration.

FIFA & International Compliance: Ensuring all electrical, life safety, and technical systems comply fully with FIFA Stadium Guidelines, IBC (International Building Code), NFPA, and KSA Saudi Building Code (SBC).

Stakeholder & Main Contractor Interface: Serving as the primary point of contact for End Clients, Project Management Consultants (PMC), Main Contractor leadership, in addition to local municipal/utility authorities.

Key Candidate Requirements for the Project Director MEP- Stadiums
Major Stadium / Venue Track Record (Essential): Mandatory prior experience delivering specialized electrical, MEP, or systems packages on major international sporting venues (e.g., FIFA Qatar 2022, South Africa 2010, Olympic Games, or major UEFA/AFC arenas). Please ensure that you provide detailed information on your Stadiums projects in your CV.

Main Contractor Background (Essential): Proven track record working directly within a Tier-1 Main Contracting organization or a specialist electrical contractor on major, complex construction sites for Stadiums projects.

Client-Facing & Stakeholder Management: Proven executive presence. The ability to lead commercial, technical, and progress negotiations directly with End Clients, Main Contractors, Consultants, and FIFA technical delegates.

Electrical Engineering Background: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (Chartered Engineer / CEng / CIBSE status highly regarded).

Standards Mastery: Deep working knowledge of international standards.

Overseas & GCC Experience: Prior experience working overseas. GCC / Middle East project exposure preferred.

Package & Offer Details
Salary: T.B.A (commensurate with senior stadium delivery experience).
