Our client is experiencing an exciting period of growth, with its Newcastle office almost tripling in size over the past 18 months. With an impressive pipeline of secured projects and established relationships across the North East, the business is looking to strengthen its Project Management team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded consultancy offering exposure to major developments, excellent career progression and a genuinely supportive working environment.

The Role

You will be involved in delivering a varied portfolio of construction and property projects across the North East, working alongside experienced senior professionals and established clients.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing construction projects from inception through to completion.
  • Supporting the delivery of projects to agreed programmes, budgets and quality standards.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, consultants and contractors.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying risks and resolving delivery challenges.
  • Preparing project reports, programmes and client presentations.
  • Supporting procurement, contract administration and project delivery.
  • Developing strong client relationships and contributing to repeat business.

Projects

The Newcastle office has an excellent portfolio of projects across a range of sectors, including:

  • Regeneration: Major residential-led mixed-use developments, including schemes valued at approximately £500 million.
  • Commercial: High-profile office developments and technology-led commercial projects.
  • Higher Education: University projects ranging from laboratory refurbishments to major campus developments.
  • Sports & Leisure: Stadium improvements, training facilities and hospitality developments.
  • Student Accommodation: Large-scale purpose-built student accommodation schemes.
  • Infrastructure: Roads, bridges, rail and Metro projects.
  • Healthcare: An expanding sector offering further opportunities for professional development.

The variety of work provides an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience without being restricted to a single sector.

About You

Our client is looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for delivering successful projects.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Approximately 3-4 years' experience in construction project management, although candidates with slightly less experience who are ready to progress will be considered.
  • Experience working within a construction consultancy, contractor or developer environment.
  • A good understanding of construction processes and project delivery.
  • Strong organisational, communication and client-facing skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with project teams.
  • A relevant degree or professional qualification.
  • Chartered status or progress towards RICS or APM accreditation would be advantageous.

Applications are also welcomed from individuals with relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or Development Monitoring who are interested in transitioning into Project Management.

Why Join?

  • Join a respected, independent construction consultancy with an excellent reputation.
  • Be part of a growing Newcastle office with a strong pipeline of secured work.
  • Work on some of the North East's most exciting construction and regeneration projects.
  • Gain exposure to a broad range of sectors and high-profile clients.
  • Benefit from direct access to experienced Directors and Partners.
  • Enjoy genuine opportunities for career progression and professional development.
  • Become part of a friendly, collaborative team where individual contributions are valued.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager looking to develop their career within a successful consultancy offering both the resources of a national business and the supportive culture of a smaller regional team.
