About the Role

Net Zero Careers is supporting a leading infrastructure business with the recruitment of a Project Controls Reporting Analyst.

This is an opportunity to join a team delivering major infrastructure projects that support the transition to a more sustainable, low-carbon future. You will play an important role in turning complex project data into clear, accurate reports and dashboards, helping teams understand performance, make informed decisions and improve the way they work.

Working across multiple project functions, you will bring together data from different systems, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, and identify opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation and digital tools.

The employer is open to candidates with around 2 to 3 years of relevant experience, so this could be a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in data analysis, business intelligence or project controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, consolidate and organise data from multiple systems and departments, ensuring information is accurate and reliable.

  • Develop, maintain and improve interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.

  • Prepare regular reports covering project progress, costs, commercial performance, resources, risks and other key performance indicators.

  • Analyse data to identify trends, discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.

  • Identify ways to streamline reporting processes, reduce manual work and improve efficiency through automation.

  • Help maintain automated processes, including timesheet systems and existing reporting workflows.

  • Work with Project Controls, Planning, Commercial, Finance, Engineering and other teams to understand their reporting needs.

  • Carry out data quality checks and investigate discrepancies.

  • Help standardise reporting methods, templates and data structures across project teams.

  • Explore opportunities to use digital tools and technology to improve project reporting and decision-making.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone with a strong analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail and an interest in improving how data is used across projects.

You should have:

  • Experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence or a project controls-related role.

  • Practical experience using Microsoft Power BI to develop reports and dashboards.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including working with data from multiple sources.

  • The ability to analyse information, identify trends and present findings clearly.

  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with different teams.

  • A proactive approach to improving processes and finding more efficient ways of working.

Desirable, but not essential:

  • Familiarity with Python, SQL or other tools used for data manipulation and automation.

  • Experience working within infrastructure, construction, engineering or major projects.

  • An interest in sustainability, net zero and the role of data in supporting more efficient, lower-carbon infrastructure.

What's on Offer?

  • Salary of £37,000 to £45,000, depending on experience.

  • 5% annual bonus.

  • Permanent, full-time position.

  • An opportunity to develop your skills in Power BI, data analysis and process automation.

  • Exposure to major infrastructure projects and cross-functional teams.

  • The opportunity to contribute to projects supporting the transition to a more sustainable, net zero future.
